This did two things to me:
1. It terrified me. Why do I have to be coming into an industry in the middle of such upheaval?
2. I was so new that I didn’t know any different. It forced me to create some very good habits very early.
It ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me because I grew an entire business without having to cold call, without having to buy leads, and with a zero-dollar budget.
Internet leads are getting harder and harder to work properly. People are having to invest more and more money in more qualified leads, systems that can make hundreds of dials, keeping your number spam-free. New technology with phones that block calls for you, and a generation of people who don’t answer their phones.

At the same time, new agents are being told this is the only way to grow their business. It’s very confusing and it’s absolutely not true. There are agents out there that are doing really big numbers because they have cracked a code that is getting harder and harder to crack. I believe that code is going to continue to get harder.
