In this episode, I have my good friend, Brian Sieminski. I met Brian many moons ago when he was a rep for Cascade Auto Glass. Brian made a hard job, look easy. Dropping in and essentially selling a service door to door, to strangers. He also held a managerial position with that company and he discusses the learning curve of what it takes to be a proficient manager.
After over 20 years with that company, Brian left to work for Ferguson Waterworks. He had to start over learning a new craft but doing a similar job. Managing relationships. We talk about what it is like selling a product that he knew very little about, and how he escalated his learning process as quickly as possible.
