I had the pleasure of having Connie Miller back on the show. Connie came on 3 years ago when she was the CEO of ICON Credit Union (now Horizon Credit Union). I respect Connie so much. She lives her life with integrity, transparency, kindness and service. Our first conversation was heavy on leadership strageties and professional ownership. I would encourage you to revisit it.
Connie recently retired (Congratulations!). We thought it would be a great topic to discuss as we felt it isn’t discussed enough. Retirement can be one of the toughest transitions you will make and if you aren’t prepared it can be a bumpy road.
She talks about her preparation for getting to retirement, the conversations she had at home with her husband, and then walks us through what that transition has been like.
