Things I’ve learned in 50 years on Planet Earth

You can’t worry about things you have zero control over

The internet is either the greatest invention in the history of mankind, or it will burn us all to the ground

Becoming who you want to be vs. who others think you are supposed to be, might be the most important work you do in your life.  Stay the course.

Try not to worry about what strangers think about you.

Most of our fears, play out significantly better, than we actually fear.  Many of them never happen

Teenagers are the strangest creatures on the planet.

Teenage girls are the meanest creatures on the planet.

“Be kind, don’t judge” is a good mantra.

As is “Make good choices”

Proper Communication solves everything.

Time is not a renewable resource.  How we choose to spend it will dictate many things.  Your level of success.  Your level of happiness. The strength of your relationships.

I love math because there is no ambiguity.

Saying “I’m sorry” and meaning it, can begin to heal the deepest wounds.

Give away what you want to receive

Customer service is endangered. If you can do it right, you can dominate your niche.

As a society, I feel that we are as advanced as we’ve ever been in the world of technology. But we’ve regressed socially. I believe there is a direct correlation.

Social media doesn’t change people, it exposes people. Same with money.

Traveling is good for my soul.

Admitting you’re wrong, will immediately defuse most tense situations.

It’s significantly better to try to understand, then to try and be right.

True human interaction cannot be replaced by virtual interaction.

I can’t change the world, but I can directly influence those I come in contact with on a daily basis.  I try my best to make those positive moments

Knowing when to listen and when to help solve problems is an important distinction to make.

Your initial reaction to a moment can be full of tainted things from your past that have no relevance to that moment.  Recognizing that, sweeping it away, and trying to see it through the other person’s lens, is very beneficial.
