None of my Business S6:E5- Tazz Weatherly

On this episode, I have Tazz Weatherly, owner and founder of Real Estate by Tazz. I reached out to Tazz after seeing her content again and again and again on Linkedin. It was inescapable. This was intriguing to me because I am interested in small business owners and content creation, so I reached out and invited her to tell her story.

Tazz started her first business when she started privately coaching girls softball players. It was a game she played in college, a game she loved and she saw an opportunity in the market. This as a short-lived venture and we talk about what she learned during that period of time.

From there, she entered the fast-paced world of sales. She sold investment accounting software and this is where her love of sales was exposed. We talk about why she loves sales. I am always curious to hear this answer because sales is extremely hard and few people can do it well.

All of this leads to her becoming a realtor and starting her current business. We talk about why she got into the real estate and how she decided to start doing something different in marketing her business.

She started creating content. The content creation journey is interesting because it is always a work in progress. Everyone is bad at it in the beginning. That is the reason most people don’t even start. The fear of looking like a fool. If you have the intestinal fortitude to get over that fear and make your mistakes and refine this craft, it can be very powerful. This is what Tazz has done.

She has a content creation team that puts out highly polished videos. It’s not the typical real estate content either. She lets you into her business and her life. This humanizes her. Her content isn’t just glossy photos and videos of the houses she is trying to sell. It is her sharing her story of being a new business owner.
